Why work with Profile?

We are the provider of choice for individuals and businesses in the South East for professional development courses.

The online short courses we provide will help individuals develop and enhance their skills and employability. We are committed to supporting all our learners and hold the Matrix award for Information, Advice and Guidance. Nationally, we are one of only two Training Providers that hold the Inclusion and Continuing Professional Learning and Development Quality Marks.

How much will it cost me? 

Nothing! Due to the availability of government funding this qualification is available at no cost to you. Funding is subject to meeting eligibility criteria, which must be provided prior to the start of the course. We capture this information on the application form and will inform you if you are not eligible.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, this course is an accredited Level 2 Certificate.

How long will it take me to complete a course?

This depends on both the course and the individual. The course flyers outline the expected time it takes to complete.

What resources / equipment will I need to supply?

You will receive a set of assessment workbooks which will be sent in hard copy and electronically. The hard copy books are for ease of reference only – we do not accept paper submissions.

You will be given access to an online e-portfolio which you will use to submit your work and receive feedback from you assessor/tutor within two working days of submission.

What support will I have while completing my course?

The course is designed to be self-guided and you should have everything you need within the learning resource pack which is sent to you by post. You will also be assigned a named assessor who you will be able to email for guidance, if needed. You assessor will also be the person who carries out the mid-point and exit review at a time convenient to you in order to complete the course and claim certification. If you have any specific learning requirements, please indicate this on your application form.

What’s the process?

After we have received your application form, we will send you out a small Induction Pack which will include paperwork you will need to sign and a Maths/English screener to complete. Everything in the Induction is mandatory and must be returned as soon as possible (a pre-paid stamped envelope is provided).

Once we have your Induction, you will receive your workbooks and online e-assessor / EQUAL log in with three working days to begin your course.

Can I submit units early?

Absolutely! We provide you with guideline submission dates to ensure you have enough time between units but you are welcome to submit prior to these dates if you wish. If you are struggling to meet a deadline, please let us know and we will work with you to ensure you don’t fall behind.

What happens if I do not meet deadlines?

In the first instance, you need to contact your assessor and circumstances are dealt with on an individual basis. However, with such a short course this is unlikely to happen.

Failure to complete

Please note as we supply the learner with a hard copy of the course text in addition to the online course access licence, should they withdraw or be withdrawn due to a lack of submissions there is a £48 (including VAT) reimbursement cost for the book.  This occurs if the learner is unable to return the book in a pristine condition.  Learners must want to independently enrol onto this course.

Can I do more than one course?

You can only do one course at a time, however, if you wish to do a second course upon successful completion of your first then you can apply. If there is sufficient funding available, you may do a second course.

Can I quit the course if I want to?

Yes you can, although it is strongly advised not to as any future funding applied for may be denied and the withdrawal fee will be applied.
