Duration: 12 weeks – five units
This course will introduce you to the concept of mental health and how it applies to children and young people. You will gain an awareness of the factors affecting mental health at different stages of development and the impact mental health concerns have on children, young people and others.
Spilt into two workbooks and five sections, areas covered include:
- Mental capacity.
- Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
- Risk factors that may affect mental health.
- Different types of abuse.
- Long/short term effects.
- Recovery model.
Please note this is an online course and workbooks are for reference only.
As a fully funded course we cannot offer Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health as a paper-based course.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health.
Please note that if you withdraw from this course, or we are forced to withdraw you due to lack of work submission, then a cost recovery fee may be applicable. That is £204 (inc VAT) and covers the cost of the course books, the online learning licence and awarding body registration and certification.
