Terrorism has become part of everyday life and extremism and radicalisation are reported in almost every news cycle. During this course, you will learn about the prevent duty which was developed to reduce the threat of terrorism in the UK.
Spilt into two workbooks and three sections, areas covered include:
- Prevent duty.
- Terrorism, extremism and radicalisation – what do they mean?
- What is safeguarding?
- Serious safeguarding failures.
- Online risks.
- Types of abuse.
Please note this is an online course and workbooks are for reference only.
As a fully funded course we cannot offer Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent as a paper-based course.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent.
Please note a fee of £204 (inc VAT) is payable if learners decide to withdraw from the course and do not complete their assessments.
