All staff working in a school setting should be sufficiently trained to provide the learning and development needs of the children and young people they support. Whether it is working in an early years setting, primary or secondary education the need to have appropriately trained staff is key to meeting government requirements and running a successful setting.
Profile offers training for existing staff to develop their skills and knowledge to support the needs of the setting or deliver apprenticeship programmes for expanding and growing the team.

For growing your setting through an apprenticeship programme, there are 2 options:
Intermediate Apprenticeship is suitable for those working under the direction of the teacher in the following job roles: Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. This apprenticeship takes a minimum of 12 months to complete and as well as the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and learning accredited qualification, apprentices will need to meet the functional English, maths and ICT requirements for this role.
Advanced Apprenticeship is suitable for those working independently within the following job roles: Teaching/ Classroom/ Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant/Coordinator, Pastoral/ Welfare Support Assistant, Bilingual Support Assistant or Team Leader. This apprenticeship takes a minimum of 18 months to complete and as well as the Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools accredited qualification, apprentices will need to meet the functional English, maths and ICT requirements for this role.
Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications offer valuable transferable skills enabling you to work in any education sector. It is an excellent starting point to move into management or teacher training once you gain more experience.
