Online Level 3 Courses

We have 2 NCFE accredited tutor supported level 3 e-learning courses available. All work is done and submitted online, but learners do have regular contact with their course tutor, on the phone, via email, and video conferencing software. Please note that the level 3 courses do not come with course books, they are 100% online with e-books.

Over the last 4 years we have had over 1700 learners complete these courses, with a 99.9% success rate, 99.9% timely completions, 30% do their first level 2 qualification with us and 27% of our e-learners are aged 50+. Also, progress to at least one more course with us, either sideways at the same level or upwards to level 3.

Each course has a suggested length, based on learners working online between 4 and 6 hours a week. Learners can request more or less time to complete at the induction stage. Once set up with the online course learners can work at their own pace at any time of the day, and most complete the courses in half the time allocated. Work can be accessed and completed on any device with an internet connection.

Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism

The objectives of this qualification are to gain knowledge and understanding of autism, including:

how to adopt a positive approach to supporting individuals with autism

the current legislative framework relating to individuals with autism and how different theories have developed over time

how to support and manage transitions for individuals with autism

the range of therapeutic interventions and support available for individuals with autism and co-occurring conditions

how to support communication and social interaction for individuals with autism

how to develop an understanding of how individuals with autism may be vulnerable and the support worker’s role and responsibilities relating to safeguarding according to legislative requirements.

Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

This qualification will:

focus on the study of mental health and mental well-being to support different occupational areas

offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge and understanding.

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to understand:

mental health legislation, services and public attitudes and how these have evolved

how to support mental well-being through various stages of life

mental ill health, treatment options available and the potential consequences of mental ill health

the skills required to work in a mental health service.

Funding:

If you are aged 19+ then you can fund this course via the Advanced Learner Loan at a cost of £811.

Please note that you may be able to access this course fully funded via the National Skills Fund, if you are aged 24+ and have no existing level 3 qualification, but we do not have access to that funding.
