We have been working with Profile and the apprenticeship programme since 2015. During this journey, we have
successfully trained and developed many apprentice Teaching Assistants. This has been highly rewarding for us as
school because they have learnt the systems and expectations which feed into our school’s ethos. As such, we would
highly recommend for any school to follow our journey into the teaching assistant apprenticeship programme with
Profile.

Many of our apprentices, go on to work within our school once their apprenticeship has been completed and have
really added value to the children at our school. As a flagship school for inclusion, we work regularly with Educational
Psychologists, specialist teachers and other educational professionals who often comment on the effectiveness and
professionalism of our teaching assistants – most of which were once apprentices.

Hampton Primary School Academy have been using Profile Development & Training to recruit and train apprentices
for over 10 years. The majority of our apprentices have followed the Teaching Assistant framework; however, we
have also successfully appointed an Admin Apprentice (now an Admin Officer) and a Facilities Apprentice (now a Site
Manager at another school). The majority of our TA apprentices have gone on to secure permanent Teaching
Assistant positions, and several have gone on to, or are in the process of, becoming qualified Teachers.

This is testament to the support, advice and service received from Profile, from the recruitment stage through to the
end of their qualification. The apprentice route is a huge benefit to both the school and the apprentice, and we are
grateful for the expertise received from Profile which has made this employment route so successful for us.
